Quick FAQ

Do I need an appointment?

Walk-ins are welcome for smog checks. VSS inspections are by appointment only after recall clearance is confirmed.

How long does a smog check take?

Most smog checks take 20–30 minutes. VSS inspections typically take 45–60 minutes.

Why can't you do my VSS if I have a recall?

California law requires all safety recalls to be resolved before a VSS certificate can be issued. This is a statewide requirement, not our policy.
